Runrig Bear Band auction was a great success!

After six exciting months the last auction of the Runrig Bear Band ended on August 14, 2018. And the proceeds exceeded all our expectations! A whopping € 1,596.00 have finally come together and we are absolutely overwhelmed by this result! Therefore once again a huge thank you to all bidders. We hope you enjoyed the auction as much as we did. And of course once again officially congratulations to the highest bidders!

Where do the Bear Band members live today?

Funky Rigger Brian went to Alexander Sarther for 102.00 Euro and now lives in Assmannshausen on the beautiful river Rhine. Lyrical Rigger Calum was bought for € 154.00 by Martina Hofmann, who gave him as a gift to her daughter. Calum is home in Lorsch now, very close to his Crumblebears mom. Ingenious Rigger Malcolm moved for € 180.00 to Elke Kraft in Endingen. One month later he got company from Jolly Rigger Iain, who was also bought by Elke for € 125.00. A real bidding war broke out for Groovy Rigger Rory. Gitte Wolf has won it with € 365,00 and Rory’s home is now in Munich. And Cheeky Rigger Bruce broke all records on his first auction day! He finally went to Astrid Wittki for an incredible amount of € 670.00. He lives in Wasserburg at the river Inn, has a lake view and is (as far as we can tell) spoiled rotten. 😉

Donation in Glasgow

Since all proceeds should go to the Scottish aid organization Glasgow the Caring City, we were particularly pleased that Reverend Neil Galbraith has invited us to the Cathcart Old Parish Church in Clasgow on August 20. Neil has been the organizer of Caring City since 2007. He spent a lot of time informing us about the different aid projects and explaining the background about the cooperation with Runrig. We proudly handed Neil a symbolic donation check and he promised to let us know what the money will be used for.

Incidentally, the next Crumblebears charity project is already in the making – more details to come!
